Without A Vision the People Perish Lesson 2 Proverbs 29: 18a Where there is no vision, the people perish Your vision is like a Garden that needs tending. I will not
just happen on it’s own. It needs to be nourished and developed. Both so it
will grow, but also that nothing will come in and destroy it. Be faithful in
the small things and eventually you will reach the top and big things. Be
faithful at the “Roots” level and watch it grow. Habakkuk 2:2 Write the vision and make it plain, so they that read it may
run with it. This is a form of confession. Keeping it always before you
and others. The shortest way between two points is straight. It may not
always be the easiest way, but it is the quickest. The devil may try to
convince you that his way is shorter, but he is a liar. The straight and
narrow way takes hard work and determination, but it will always succeed.
Failure is to be deceived by the devil and get way off course. In God’s eyes, we have already succeeded but we need to
stand in faith. Write it down for the following reasons 1) It keeps it alive Keeping it alive is very important. Many things can happen
and you can lose the vision. But if you have it where you can read it, it will
stay alive to you. 2) So you won’t forget Being human we often forget things and they get lost to us.
We move on to other areas and forget all that has gone on behind. If you want
the vision to come to pass, you must have it written down so you never forget
what it is. 3) Form of confession If we begin to read the vision every day to keep it in our
hearts, read it out loud and it will put faith in your heart. Romans 10:10 With the heart, man believes unto righteousness, and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This applies with anything we do in this life. Whatever it
is, confession of the word, will bring it to pass. 4) Clears your thinking It keeps you focused on what is important and helps you keep
your mind clear of the thoughts that Satan would bring to you. 5) Captures your thoughts II Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts
itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought
to the obedience of Christ; We need to take hold of our thoughts and bring them into
submission to the Lord. Writing it down, with scriptures to back it, will help
do this. It is not enough to have a dream, that we hope someday will
come to pass. We need to act on it. Hope thinks well, Faith acts on it. Until
you take the first step you will never see results. Get mad at the devil and
let him know that he cannot take your vision from you. When the going gets
tough, the tough get going! Job 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should
greatly increase How you see things, determines your whole life. Without a
vision you are sunk. Your vision is what keeps you afloat. The enemy tries to
steal your vision. It needs to be taken care of the same way as you do your
health or body etc. What is the greatest vision? Having a vision that God will
use you. Moses asked God…Who shall I say sent me…and God said
“I Am sent you” What did He mean? That there was nothing before Him. He is
the true source of whatever you need. He is all you need!! Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, some in horses, but we will remember
the name of the Lord. We have the responsibility to exercise our authority and
draw out of what has already been provided and belongs to us. Isaiah 45 Verse 2&3 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden
riches of secret places, that thou may know that I, the LORD, which call you
by your name, am the God of Israel. Verse 11 Ask me of things to come concerning my sons and concerning
the work of my hands command ye me. Whatever we need, God has provided. Whatever the vision, God can bring it to pass! He is the one to talk to. We don’t need man’s opinion of what they think. If we believe our vision is from God, then He is the only one we need to talk to it about. Others may try to discourage you or say that it is impossible or it will never come to pass. But if it is from God, it will happen, if you believe. What is your vision? Are you standing on the Word? Are you doing all it takes to see it come to pass. Or are you just “a wishin and a hopin” that it will happen? Stand on the Word of God and it will come to pass!
