The Fundamentals of Faith Lesson 6 The Word Of Faith Words are a very powerful weapon. You either release words of life or words of death. With words Jesus raised the dead, healed the sick, cast out devils, calmed the sea. That is how powerful Faith Filled Words can be. But are you using your words carefully? Or do you just throw them out and not even think about what you are saying? Do the words "That just thrilled me to death" or "That just kills me" ever cross your lips? If they do, you probably are not aware of the power of words. There have been people that have said things like this. "My grandmother died of cancer, my mother dies of cancer, I probably will too." And they did. They spoke that into their life with the words of their own mouth. And we know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word (of your mouth) speaking it. If you are speaking words of death, it will bring death. Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good, and an evil man out of an evil treasure if his heart, brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of his heart, his mouth speaks. If it is there in abundance, it will come out. So we need to get something instead of thoughts of death in our heart. We need to get the Word in there. Satan is a legalist. If we speak it, he will take us up on it. He knows the laws of Faith. That is why he tries to get us to say things contrary to the Word of God. If he can, he will kill you with it if possible, or cause a lot of grief. He doesn’t care if you are "kidding". Or didn’t mean it "that way". He could care less. The more he can get you to say it, the more you will believe it. Matthew 12:37 For by your words you are justified and by your words, you are condemned. The same applies to the Word of God. God wants us to keep saying it, and get it in our heart in abundance, so it will come out of our mouth and we will believe it. John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself, but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. If Jesus had a commandment from God of what to say and speak, so do we. We need to choose our words wisely and not let foolish words come out of our mouth. By this I do not mean you can’t joke with people or have fun. I mean you should never speak death out of your mouth. Mean words, curt words, vicious words are all words of death. James 3:9,10 With it (the tongue) bless we God, even the Father, and with it we curse men.....Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not so to be. Faith filled words will bring life. They will bring encouragement. And they will bring Faith. Proverbs 18:4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. You need to have Faith in your Faith Filled Words. Don’t believe the devils lies that will tell you that you are unworthy, unfit, weak or have a lack of faith. He is a liar and the father of them. Just remember that Faith Filled Words will dominate the law of sin and death. That is why he will try to tell you these things. He does not want your words to dominate over what he is wanting to do in your life. You must remember, you do not have a Faith problem, you have a Word problem. Faith is always constant. It will never change, and it will always work. It is our words, that mess everything up for us. And our struggle is not with God. You are not trying to "Get God" to "DO" something. He has already done it all. People think that when they pray, that is when God does something. But the truth is, he has already done it all. He already sent Jesus. Jesus already paid the price. He already bought our freedom, Spirit, Soul and Body. He is not going to "Do" anything else. Our struggle is with the devil. He is trying to hinder us from getting what God has already laid out for us. We are the healed, that Satan is trying to make sick. We are the Prosperous that Satan is trying to make poor. We are "Of Sound Mind" that Satan is trying to torment. If we can see ourselves that way, it would be alot easier for us to believe and to put Satan in his place. I hope you can grasp what I am saying. God is not keeping anything from you. He doesn’t have something stored in reserve. There is no more! It is all done! Don’t ever say, God we need more Power! Where do you think he is going to get it from. All we will ever need is already available to us. We just need to tap into it. We need to become God minded. See things the way He does. He sees you as having "All things that pertain unto life and godliness". You just can’t get any clearer then that can you?
Just remember these things that Jesus did
He died, to give us life If you can remember these things, you will walk in Victory! Jesus did it all! Speak words full of Faith and you will knock the devil in the head and release what is rightfully yours. Kick the doubt out, by putting faith in your heart!
