The Fundamentals Of Faith Lesson 3 Faith Always Comes~And Faith Moves Romans 10:17 Faith will always come. It comes by hearing. The problem is, what are you hearing? Are you listening to things that will bring negative faith or positive faith. What I mean by that is this. If I listen to the Word of God and to people that will build my faith in the Word of God, then I am receiving "Positive Faith". If I am listening to doubt and unbelief, it will result in doubting and unbelief in God’s words and what they can do for you, or "Negative Faith". So regardless how you feel, you are always building faith for something, whether positive or negative. I would say, get the Word of God in you Spirit and start building Faith in it. Mark 11:22-23 And Jesus answered them saying "Have Faith in God! For surely I say to you, that whoever shall say to the mountain, Be removed, and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatever he says." The God kind of Faith comes to whoever will believe. It is an act of our will. We can choose to believe God, or believe a lie. The word of God says in Romans 3:4
So if I believe anything that is contrary to what God has said, I am believing a lie. 2 Corithians 5:7 We walk by Faith, not by sight. If we are moved by what we see or hear, we are going to be swayed in our Faith. The sense realm seems very real to us, but in reality, the spirit realm is more real. 2 Corinthians 4: 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.Even though it is hard not to, we cannot be moved by what we see or feel. Sometimes that is very difficult, especially when it comes to the area of physical pain. But if we can believe that God does not want us that way, it will build faith to get out of it. The devil always works in the physical and mental realm. It is something that is "Real" to us. If he can get you focused on your pain, then you will not be focused on the Word of God, that says "By His stripes we are healed." The last thing he wants you to know is that you don’t have to suffer. That is why he has spread this lie through the church over the ages. He wants to keep you weak and sick. But "Faith comes by hearing" and as you "Hear" the Word of God on healing, you will build your faith, and faith will move that mountain of sickness out of your way. You just have to choose to believe. But it is so hard, people say. I don’t have any faith. Well the bible says in Romans 12:3 As God has dealt to every man "the" measure of Faith. And if we would take that measure as Jesus said, "as a grain of mustard seed" and plant it, it will grow. He didn’t say it was the size of a grain of mustard seed, just like it. Well a seed planted will grow and a mustard seed is a tiny little seed, but will grow into a huge tree, if it is watered and taken care of. God used "the" measure of Faith to raise Jesus from the dead Eph 1:16-23, 2:1-8 Our job is to develop our Faith to make it "mountain moving faith". It takes time and work to develop faith. We need to dedicate ourselves to develop our faith. It won’t happen over night and we can’t get discouraged and give up. "Faith Will Come!" We just need to be patient. "Maybe if I pray long enough, God will give me Faith!" Prayer does not cause Faith to work (come), Faith causes prayer to work. God is not going to give you faith just because you pray for it. "Faith Comes By Hearing" Once we have developed our Faith, then prayer will work. Hebrews 12: 1-3 v2 Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our Faith. v3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, least you be weary and faint in your minds. Jesus is the author of Faith and will help you develop and accomplish what your faith is sent to do. But we must be patient and not give up. He is our example. He endured the cross, knowing that God was going to raise him up. If we remember this, we won’t get weary of believing and let Satan feed your mind negative thoughts. If he endured the cross in faith, we can hang in there for what we are believing for, no matter how bad it looks, or feels. v2 "For the "Joy" that was set before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame." What "Joy" was set before him? The joy of knowing that he was doing it for you. That he is now at the right hand of the Father, ever interceding for you. We are His "Joy". He endured in Faith, for us, for you. How can we do any less? We must endure in our Faith for him. We must be a witness to the world of His power and love. When people see what our Faith accomplished, it will bring glory to God. We don’t believe for selfish reasons, but that the world will see what an awesome God we serve. Hebrews 11:1 Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen. I added the ‘yet", because we are so "See" oriented. But if we know it is not "yet" seen, that means it will be "seen" eventually. Faith gives substance to our hopes and dreams. If we will only believe, it will bring the "unseen", into the "seen". The more you develop your faith, the shorter the distance between the "amen" and the "there it is!" If we can see Faith the way God does, the "unseen" will be as real as the "Seen". Hebrews 11:3 Through Faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. So that things which are seen, were not made of things which are visible (unseen). To God nothing is "unseen". It is all in the eyes of Faith. If we can see it, we can believe for it. If we don’t see it, we will never have it. Hebrews 11:6 For without faith it is impossible to please him. For he that comes to God, must believe that He is, and that He is the rewarded of those that diligently seek him.
